AI Gore Jr. (A Biography Article)

Albert Arnold Gore Junior (AI Gore Jr.) was born on 31st March 1948 in Washington D.C., United States of America. His father Albert Gore Senior (Sr.) was a democrat in the U.S House from Tennessee (the state in the south-eastern) at that time. Al Gore Sr. also served in the United States Senate from 1953 to 1971. Albert Arnold Gore Sr. was also considered a possible nominee for the post of vice president in 1956 and 196O. Fortunately! After almost 32 years his son Al Gore Jr. took the oath of a post of the vice presidency. Gore studied in the same school where his mother Pauline Lafon Gore was the first lady who graduated from Vanderbilt law school.

Gore was an educated person. He went to St. Albans school from 1956 to 1965, where he got his early education, then he went to Harvard College. After that, he went to Harvard University for a bachelor’s degree. He also earned a law degree from Vanderbilt University. He also studied Philosophy and Phenomenology at Vanderbilt University.

Here is an interesting fact to share with you is that Gore met Mary Elizabeth Aitcheson (a nickname is Tipper) at his St. Albans senior prom in 1965. She was from the nearby St. Agnes School. Tipper followed Gore to Boston to attend college together. Their friendship became stronger day by day. After a while, AI Gore married her on 19th May 197O. Now, they have four children.

In August 1969 his sense of civic duty compelled him to enlist in the U.S Army. After completing basic training he appointed as Military Journalist for Army Flier (Newspaper at Fort Rucker). AI Gore’s father had lost the re-elections in the U.S Senate in November 197O. At that time Gore was shipped to Vietnam, where he served with 2Oth Engineer Brigade in Bien Hoa. When he returned to the U.S he used to work as a reporter at the Tennessean. He enrolled himself in the Vanderbilt Law School in 1974. But he left it in 1976 to run for the U.S House from Tennessee. AI Gore elected four times in the Senate House. In 1984, He got a seat in U.S Senate which had been vacated by a Republican leader Howard Baker.

In 1988 he struggled to become the President but he hadn’t. While in 1992 Bill Clinton U.S President from Democrats chose Al Gore as U.S Vice-President. They both were re-elected in the 1996 elections. In 2OOO, he was the nominee of President for Democrats. He tried his best to win the elections, but he was not successful, because his opponent was W. Bush, who was a strong candidate for the President’s seat. Writing is not an easy job, it is one of the most difficult tasks in the world, but he is doing great in this field too, he has written more than 30 books. 

Presently, at the age of 72 years, he is working on Climate change, and a founder and current chairman of the Climate Reality Project. Al Gore is the man who kept struggling not only in one field but in different fields. As his inheritor profession was politics because his father was a Senator. He did politics and he served as a 45th Vice-President of the United States of America. He is also an Environmentalist, Author, Entrepreneur, Lawyer, Businessman, Journalist, and Philanthropist.
